Grateful, always.

Thank you

Heather and Nate,
We are super excited to have the opportunity to photograph your wedding!!  The Flood is such an iconic SF location and  all your family and friends will be so excited to celebrate with you both. The photos will be filled with absolute joy and it will be our pleasure to capture all the memories and emotion!

As a husband and wife team, we use our 15 years of photography experience, along with working side by side together in life, to have our photos tell a story of your wedding day. Combined with keen wedding day knowledge, artful eyes, an open approach, a variety of amazing cameras, we strive to express the emotion and feeling of your wedding day in photographs for you to enjoy and share forever.

Along with a suggested rough photography timeline for a 10 hour day, we listed three collections for you to choose from.  There are also A La Carte options listed as options for later decisions closer to the wedding date as timelines finalize.
There is a quick FAQ below but please let us know if we can answer any other questions you may have.  We are excited to work alongside all your amazing vendors to make magic on your wedding day.

Warmly,
Courtney + Erin

How we will work together

THE APPROACH

Our style is a mix of artful and softly guided moments, quiet candid gestures, fun raw emotions, simple memories, & beautifully styled details that will give your photos an editorial and timeless feel. We want our photos to make you nostalgic for more when you revisit them through the years.

We strive for the experience to be pure joy and exceedingly exceptional.  Our direction is very natural and fun. We use movement to invoke more natural "poses" and to find the fleeting moments that are uniquely yours. With artful intention, we capture not only the organic candids but the scripted beauty with a discerning eye.

We work closely with your planner, to fine tune the timeline surrounding photography to be tailored to what works best with your overall experience. We want you to feel all the memories we capture!

When you are ready to book, let us know which package you are interested in and we will send over a link to accept our services, sign the contract and pay the 35% retainer to hold the date! All travel fees are due 5 months out from wedding and final payment due one month from wedding date.

Yes, we do! We use a variety of cameras both film and digital. From toy film cameras, vintage film cameras to the most modern medium format film and digital cameras. We don't give you a specific amount of film we shoot as each wedding differs in timing, lighting and overall feel. So we choose the best camera for that moment to capture it how we feel works best to document that memory and emotion. If you absolutely love film let us know!!

We absolutely prefer to have a list for all groupings wanted captured on the wedding day. Please be weary that more than 20-25 combinations will tire out the couple, wedding party, and family. Imagine each combination to average 2-3 minutes. Try to keep it simple to make this time fun.  Be sure to check weather and adjust photo list to accommodate comfort levels. If there are other unique items or situations that aren't "normal" to a typical wedding day we would love to know about that. However, we prefer not to have an overly large list where we feel we need to tick items off instead of spending your day naturally capturing it how it unfolds. So the answer is yes and no respectively.

The timeline for photos ranges from 8 to 14 weeks, depending on the timing of the season. We Always get you a 150+ image sneak peek within 3 weeks of the wedding (after we get the film processed) so you have some to enjoy and share while you wait for the final edit. We do our best stay in touch with you as to when we have your wedding in queue and working on it to give you a confirmed date of delivery.

While each wedding is different with lighting and timing some weddings will get more black & whites then others. On average we deliver 20-30% of the images in black & white. We will shoot some B&W film. Others will be converted to B&W because the lighting may have been mixed or dark, shutter dragged or higher iso used. Other times we use our artistic preference in presenting an image that may feel more photojournalistic or editorial in feeling, with more emotions etc. Often times we deliver the same image in both color and black and white if we feel it is lovely in both.. This is where you trust our art in the final editing.

Yes! While we are located in the Napa Valley and often photograph the destination weddings of couples from out of town here in the valley, we absolutely love to travel to document weddings all over the world.  We have traveled as far as Bali, Canada, Mexico and many locations throughout the United States as well.  Travel fees will occur outside of two hours drive from Napa and will be assessed upon further inquiry. For destinations outside of California we will give an hour of coverage complimentary to offset the cost of additional travel fees. We also arrive at the destination one full day prior to first day of photographing to make sure there is time for any travel delays, jet lag, and also to scout wedding venue! (Typically for a Saturday wedding with a friday welcome dinner we arrive Wednesday evening. )
